Your Bio

Hey all. I am a 29 year old electrical engineer living in Rochester, NY. I have many interests, two of which are photography and architecture.

Right now my big gun is a Pentax *ist DS. Most of the shots posted here were taken with this camera, but there are a few floaters from my old Panasonic FZ-20 and my Canon Powershot S2 IS. I am hugely impressed with the viewfinder on the Pentax and the wide availability of quality glass at low cost! I am a huge backer of the 18-55mm kit lens, but I have recently found the funding to upgrade to the outstanding 16-45mm/f4.

When I'm not pursuing those interests you can probably find me skiing, working out, rock climbing, mountain biking, or just chilling out with a good book and some tunes.

On top of all that I'm also attending grad school part time and working full time. There's no big secret - just keep moving!!!

Also, please feel free to comment on my photos - I am very new to this field and I appreciate any input that might help me improve!

DeVoe Beach Sunset, Indian River Michigan : This is a series of sunset shots taken on DeVoe Beach in Indian River, MI prior to the town fireworks display on July 2nd, 2006. Most of these shots were taken with a Pentax FA*24mm f2.0 AS(IF) lens. I think they turned out pretty well!

Mackinac Island on Foot, July 4th, 2006 : This is a series of shots chronicling our time on Mackinac Island following our exit from the carriage tour. It's about a 3 minute walk down to town on the very steep Fort St. This takes you past the fort, Market St., and down to Huron (Main) St. Most of these shots were done with a Pentax DA 16-45mm f4 lens.
